05 / STARTUP APPS

Choose what starts with Windows.

Compare actual samples.

Import before-and-after frame-time CSVs. Compare average FPS, 1% lows and p99 frame time, then export a report. No invented benchmark scores.

FROM DOWNLOAD TO FIRST TEST

Start simple. Stay in control.

01

Install Pulse

Download the setup EXE and install for your Windows account. It adds a Start menu shortcut and an optional desktop shortcut. No tweaks are applied during installation.

02

Scan & choose

Open Pulse and select Scan my PC. Close your game, review a setting in Gaming, and apply one change at a time.

03

Test & decide

Restart your game and compare the same scene and settings. Keep a change if it helps; use Undo to return to your saved baseline.

How to restore settings or uninstall

Close any older Pulse version before running the new installer; your existing backups are retained. Open Recovery → Restore all Pulse changes before uninstalling if you want to undo your changes. This processes gaming and startup backups. It restores Pulse’s saved baseline, including any values that were already changed by another tool before you installed Pulse.

For troubleshooting, use Recovery → Export diagnostics or Check Windows compatibility. Reports stay on your PC. Then close Pulse and remove it through Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Pulse Tweaks → Uninstall. Uninstall removes the program and its shortcuts; backups and logs stay in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PulseTweaks. Uninstall does not automatically undo settings.

If the interface cannot open, the command Pulse-Tweaks.exe --restore opens the recovery console. Run it from the installation folder and type RESTORE when asked.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Straight answers.

Will this make my FPS or ping much better?

It depends on what is already configured. If your settings are already suitable, you may see no improvement. Pulse helps you inspect, change and measure; it does not manufacture extra performance. This preview is free while native Windows validation and production-release work are pending.

Does it work like ExitLag?

Pulse has local Windows controls and connection diagnostics. It does not operate a relay network, route game traffic through a VPN, or replace a routing service.

Can I use it after Rip Tweaks?

Pulse reads the current values and saves those as its baseline before making a change. It cannot identify or undo all modifications made by other tools. Avoid applying overlapping tweaks from several apps at once.

What exactly does it change?

On Linux, Pulse selects available powerprofilesctl profiles and manages per-user XDG autostart overrides with backups. On Windows: The gaming controls write user-level Game Mode and Game Bar capture values, or select an existing Windows power plan. Startup controls remove or restore selected current-user Run entries. Benchmarks read your imported CSV files. It does not change BIOS settings, overclocks, security features, Windows Update, drivers or anti-cheat. Windows shortcuts open settings for you; edits made there are not covered by Pulse backups.

Why might Windows show a warning?

This early release is not digitally signed and has no established publisher reputation. Check the file source and release information. If your security software blocks it, keep that protection enabled and review the warning before proceeding.

Does Pulse collect my data?

The desktop app has no telemetry or account system. Settings backups and logs stay on your PC. Connection tests send ICMP probes only to the IP you select; that endpoint can see your network address. This website has no added analytics, forms, or tracking cookies; hosting and access systems may process normal request information.
